Contract Manufacturing
Contract Furniture Manufacturing in Bangalore for Project Requirements
ASTRAA is developing a contract-manufacturing capability intended to support customised and project-based furniture requirements through coordinated specifications, materials, finishes and execution.
ASTRAA’s manufacturing facility is currently under commissioning. Contract manufacturing is presented as developing capability, not fully operational production. Imagery on this page is representative and does not show ASTRAA production, machinery, completed orders or clients.
Project-Based Manufacturing
Furniture Developed Around a Defined Requirement
Contract manufacturing starts from something already decided — an agreed furniture requirement, a set of drawings or a specification, and a project scope. The work is then to turn that into furniture that matches what was drawn. It is a different relationship from selling from a range, and the capability ASTRAA is developing is being shaped around it.
Design Input
Drawings, schedules or a defined brief arriving from the party who owns the design.
Specification
Materials, finishes and hardware fixed in writing before anything moves forward.
Customisation
Dimensions and configuration adapted to the project rather than to a fixed product.
Project Coordination
Delivery and installation sequenced against the programme the project is working to.
Each requirement is assessed on its own terms. ASTRAA does not represent that it accepts every manufacturing enquiry, and what can be taken on depends on scope, feasibility and commissioning progress.
Who It May Support
Intended for Businesses and Project Requirements
These are the kinds of parties the capability is being developed for. They describe intended future scope rather than existing arrangements.
Interior Designers
Practices with their own design intent who need furniture made to it.
Architects
Projects where joinery and furniture are specified as part of the design package.
Corporate Projects
Organisations fitting out workplaces with defined furniture requirements.
Builders & Developers
Projects where furniture is required across multiple units or floors.
Commercial Projects
Commercial fit-outs with their own drawings and specification.
Furniture / Project Partners
Parties looking to place defined furniture scope with a manufacturing partner.
Intended future capability. ASTRAA does not claim existing contract-manufacturing partnerships or completed orders for any of these.
Intended Scope
Furniture Categories the Capability Is Being Developed Around
These are the categories the development is focused on. Which of them can be taken on, and in what form, is being established through commissioning.
- Workstations
- Office tables
- Storage
- Conference furniture
- Reception furniture
- Executive furniture
- Cafeteria and breakout furniture
- Customised project furniture
Final manufacturing scope will depend on confirmed capability, technical feasibility and the requirements of the project. This is not a statement that these categories are currently in production.

Design Input
Work from Defined Design and Furniture Requirements
The more precisely a requirement arrives, the fewer assumptions have to be made later. Drawings, schedules and a stated material direction give a clear starting point — though what arrives still has to be checked before it can be built.
- Drawings
- Dimensions
- Furniture schedules
- Reference designs
- Material directions
- Finish directions
- Project quantities
Third-party drawings are not assumed to be production-ready. Technical review is required before any requirement is accepted, and design intent may need adjustment to be buildable.
Customisation
Adapt Furniture to the Project
Project furniture almost always needs adjusting somewhere. These are the areas normally open to adaptation — though not everything that can be drawn can be built, and the honest answer to a particular request comes after review rather than before it.
- Dimensions
- Configuration
- Storage
- Colours
- Finishes
- Project-specific requirements
Customisation is subject to technical feasibility and confirmed manufacturing capability. ASTRAA does not offer unlimited customisation.
Specification
Define Materials and Finishes Before Production
On a contract requirement the specification is the agreement. Fixing materials and finishes in writing before anything is made is what allows the result to be checked against something. The wider approach is set out on its own page.
- Panel materials
- Laminates
- Hardware
- Metal
- Glass
- Upholstery where applicable
- Finish coordination
Brands, board grades, thicknesses and certifications are not published here. They are established within the specification agreed for a particular project.
Before Production
Review the Requirement Before It Reaches Production Planning
A drawing can be perfectly clear and still not describe something that can be made as shown, or that will survive where it is going. Review is the step where that is found — before production planning rather than after it.
- Dimensions
- Construction logic
- Materials
- Hardware
- Site and application requirements
- Installation considerations
This is a practical buildability review. ASTRAA does not claim certified engineering assessment or laboratory validation.
Intended Workflow
A Structured Path from Requirement to Delivery
This is the intended operating approach as ASTRAA’s manufacturing capability comes online. It is how the business plans to run a contract requirement — not a production workflow that has already been proven in operation.
- 01
Receive Requirement
The furniture requirement, quantities and project context as they stand.
- 02
Review Drawings / Scope
Reading what has been supplied and identifying what is missing or unclear.
- 03
Confirm Configuration
Agreeing formats, sizes and construction before materials are fixed.
- 04
Finalise Materials + Finishes
Surfaces, edges and hardware specified and recorded in writing.
- 05
Technical Review
Checking the agreed configuration is buildable as drawn before commitment.
- 06
Production Planning
Sequencing the work against the project programme and delivery dates.
- 07
Delivery / Installation Coordination
Delivery and installation coordinated on site against the approved drawings.
Steps involving production apply once manufacturing operations commence.
Project Scale
Preparing for Repeated Furniture Requirements
Contract requirements usually involve repetition — the same workstation many times over, storage that matches across floors, furniture that has to stay identical from the first delivery to the last. That kind of consistency is a large part of what the capability is being developed for.
- Repeat workstation types
- Storage units
- Meeting furniture
- Common-area furniture
- Standardised project furniture
No minimum order quantity, batch size, production capacity or output figure is published. Commercial terms are confirmed against the specific requirement once capability and scope are established.
Interiors + Manufacturing
Coordinate Furniture with the Interior Project
Furniture arrives into a site that other trades have already shaped. When it has been planned against the partitions, the power and data positions and the installation sequence, it fits; when it has not, the problems surface on the day it is delivered. ASTRAA’s interiors background is the reason this coordination sits at the centre of the manufacturing direction.
- Layouts
- Partitions
- Power and data
- Meeting spaces
- Storage
- Finishes
- Installation sequence

Current Status
Contract Manufacturing Capability Is Under Development
ASTRAA’s manufacturing facility is under commissioning, and contract manufacturing is not represented as fully operational production today. Capability will expand as commissioning progresses.
- Machinery details are not published until verified
- Production capacity is not published until established
- Certifications are not claimed until obtained
- Capability is updated here as commissioning progresses
Quality Direction
Start with an Agreed Specification
On contract work the specification is what quality is measured against. Where the requirement, drawings and materials are agreed in writing first, there is something definite to check the result against; where they are not, disagreement at handover is almost guaranteed.
- Approved requirement
- Drawings
- Material specification
- Finish coordination
- Fit and alignment
- Functional review
- Project coordination
These are working principles, not a certified quality system. ASTRAA does not claim certified QA processes, testing facilities or compliance with any published standard.

Questions
Contract Manufacturing FAQs
Does ASTRAA currently offer full-scale contract manufacturing?
No. The manufacturing facility is under commissioning. Contract manufacturing is developing capability and is not represented as fully operational production today. We are happy to discuss a requirement and be specific about what can be supported now.
What types of furniture is ASTRAA planning to manufacture?
Workstations, office tables, storage, conference, reception and executive furniture, cafeteria and breakout furniture, and customised project furniture. This is intended scope rather than a list of what is currently produced.
Can ASTRAA work from client drawings?
Yes, that is the normal starting point for contract work — drawings, dimensions, furniture schedules and material directions. Supplied drawings are not assumed production-ready, and a technical review is carried out before a requirement is accepted.
Can furniture dimensions and finishes be customised?
Dimensions, configuration, storage, colours and finishes are normally open to adaptation. Customisation is subject to technical feasibility and confirmed manufacturing capability — it is not unlimited, and a specific request is answered after review.
Will ASTRAA support repeated or bulk furniture requirements?
The capability is being developed with repeated project furniture in mind, including matching workstations and storage across floors. What can be supported is confirmed against the specific requirement.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum order quantity is published. Commercial requirements, including quantities, will be confirmed project by project once capability and scope are established.
What manufacturing capacity does ASTRAA currently have?
Capacity is not published at this stage. It will be stated only once established and verified — we would rather say nothing than publish a figure that has not been confirmed.
Can I discuss a future contract-manufacturing requirement now?
Yes. Share the drawings, furniture type, expected quantity and project timing, and we will review the scope and be straightforward about what depends on commissioning progress.
