OFFICE RENOVATION
Office Renovation in Bangalore for Existing Workplaces
Office renovation is an opportunity to improve how an existing workplace functions — from layouts and furniture to meeting areas, storage, finishes and everyday circulation. ASTRAA approaches renovation around the existing site, business requirements and clearly defined project scope.
Imagery on this page is representative. It does not depict ASTRAA clients or renovation projects completed by ASTRAA.
RENOVATION SCOPE
Improve the Workplace Without Starting from Zero
An existing office usually has more worth keeping than replacing. Renovation is about identifying what genuinely holds the workplace back and changing that, rather than stripping out a floor that mostly works.
Layout Improvements
Reworking zoning, desk positions, circulation and the balance between open and enclosed areas as the organisation has changed.
Furniture Upgrades
Replacing or adding workstations, storage, seating and meeting furniture where the existing items no longer suit the team.
Meeting + Support Spaces
Adding, resizing or reworking meeting rooms, discussion areas, breakout zones and support spaces that are now under or over provided.
Finish Refresh
Updating laminates, wall finishes, flooring coordination and the overall material direction so the space reads as current.
Renovation may cover a few selected areas or a broader workplace upgrade. Scope is defined against the requirement and what the existing space allows, not applied as a standard package.
WORKSPACE LAYOUT
Rework the Space Around Current Business Needs
Most offices are planned once and then absorb years of change. Renovation is the point at which the layout can be brought back in line with how the organisation actually works now.
- Workstation layouts revisited against current team structure and headcount
- Circulation routes reviewed so movement stays clear of working positions
- Meeting areas resized or relocated to match how meetings actually happen
- Cabins reconsidered where enclosed space is needed or no longer needed
- Collaboration areas added where teams currently have nowhere to gather
- Support spaces such as pantry, utility and equipment zones reworked
- Storage reallocated to where it is genuinely used
We do not publish space-efficiency, density or utilisation figures. What a layout can achieve depends on the floor plate, the existing structure and services, and the applicable building requirements.

FURNITURE
Upgrade Furniture Alongside the Interior
Furniture is often the part of an office that ages first. Changing it alongside the interior keeps sizes, circulation and finishes coordinated instead of fitting new items into an old plan.
- Workstations in bench, linear, cluster and cabin configurations
- Storage units, pedestals and filing
- Executive furniture for cabins and senior work areas
- Conference and meeting-room furniture
- Reception and front-of-house furniture
- Breakout and cafeteria furniture
MEETINGS + COLLABORATION
Improve Spaces for Meetings and Team Interaction
Meeting provision is one of the most common reasons an office starts to feel constrained. Renovation is a chance to fix the mix rather than keep booking around it.
- Meeting rooms added, resized or reconfigured to suit actual use
- Discussion areas close to the teams that need them
- Collaboration spaces for short, unscheduled working sessions
- Presentation areas where the organisation requires them
- Furniture selected to suit the room rather than fitted into it
- Power and data positions coordinated with the revised room layouts
ASTRAA coordinates furniture and the interior around audio-visual requirements. Supply, installation and commissioning of AV equipment is not represented as a standard ASTRAA scope and would need to be confirmed project by project.
RECEPTION + ARRIVAL
Refresh the First Experience of the Workplace
Reception is the part of an office that dates most visibly, and the part every visitor sees first. It is usually one of the highest-value areas to renovate.
- Reception position and desk reviewed against how arrivals are handled
- Waiting space that is comfortable without obstructing circulation
- Circulation from arrival through to meeting rooms and working areas
- Storage at reception for deliveries, visitor items and daily use
- Furniture refreshed to suit the revised arrangement
- Finishes updated so arrival reflects the rest of the renovated workplace
STORAGE
Improve Organisation Across the Workplace
Storage in an older office tends to accumulate rather than get planned. Renovation is the point to decide what still needs keeping and give it a proper place.
- Shared storage for teams working on common material
- Filing for documents that still need to be held physically
- Personal storage at or near the workstation
- Meeting-room storage for accessories and room materials
- Support and equipment storage for spares, consumables and utility items

MATERIALS + FINISHES
Refresh the Visual Language of the Office
A renovated office often reads as new because of the finishes rather than the layout. Settling the material direction early keeps retained and new elements looking like one scheme.
- Finishes agreed as a direction rather than chosen area by area
- Laminates across furniture, joinery and counters
- Colour direction coordinated across the workplace
- Wall finishes and treatments
- Flooring coordinated with circulation and with retained areas
- Metal components in frames, legs and structures
- Glass where partitions, fronts or tables require it
- Upholstery where seating forms part of the requirement
Brands, grades, thicknesses, performance ratings and certifications are not published here. Availability and suitability depend on confirmed specification and sourcing, and any such detail would be stated only once verified.
SERVICES COORDINATION
Plan Renovation Around Existing Building Services
Renovation happens inside a building that already has services running through it. What can change, and how easily, is usually decided by those services rather than by the layout.
- Lighting positions reviewed against the revised layout
- Electrical points coordinated with new furniture and equipment positions
- Data and network outlets planned against the revised desk and room positions
- HVAC interfaces considered where partitions or room layouts change
- Plumbing where pantry, utility or washroom areas form part of the scope
- Fire-safety and statutory interfaces identified early rather than late
Electrical, data, plumbing, HVAC, fire-safety, structural and statutory scope must be assessed and confirmed project by project, and is designed and executed by the relevant licensed contractors and consultants. Not every trade is carried out directly by ASTRAA.
EXISTING CONDITIONS
Understand What Is Already There Before Finalising Scope
Renovation scope cannot be settled from a description alone. What is behind the partition, above the ceiling and under the floor usually decides how much of a plan is practical.
- Site measurements taken against the current condition rather than old drawings
- Existing partitions and what can be retained, modified or removed
- Flooring condition and how it meets new work
- Ceilings, their height and what they conceal
- Services already running through the space
- Existing furniture and whether it is worth retaining
- Access for material movement, deliveries and installation
- Site constraints including building rules, working hours and occupied areas
Site verification may be necessary before final scope and pricing are confirmed. ASTRAA does not assess structural conditions or diagnose building defects remotely, and any such assessment would be carried out by the relevant qualified parties.
SELECTED AREAS
Renovate the Areas That Actually Need Change
Not every renovation needs the whole floor. Where only parts of the workplace are underperforming, changing those alone is usually faster, cheaper and less disruptive.
- Workstation areas where the desk layout no longer suits the team
- Reception and arrival areas
- Meeting rooms that are the wrong size or the wrong number
- Cabins being added, removed or reconfigured
- Storage areas that have outgrown their arrangement
- Breakout and pantry areas
- Selected floors or zones within a larger workplace
Whether work can be phased, and how, depends on the site, the occupancy, building rules and the scope involved. Phased execution is not promised for every project and would be assessed against the specific requirement.
FIT-OUT CONNECTION
Coordinate Renovation with Fit-Out Execution
Renovation and fit-out overlap. Where the scope introduces new partitions, ceilings, flooring or services, the work is executed the same way a fit-out is, alongside whatever is being retained.
- What is retained and protected during the works
- What is modified rather than replaced
- What is newly introduced and needs full execution
- Sequencing so retained areas are not damaged by new work
- Coordination with the building and with other agencies on site
Renovation and fit-out scope depends on what is retained, modified or newly introduced, and is confirmed project by project.
HOW WE WORK
A Structured Renovation Approach
The sequence stays the same across renovation projects. What changes is the depth of each stage, which depends on scope, site conditions and how much of the existing workplace is retained.
- 01
Understand Requirement
Establish what is not working in the current workplace and what the renovation needs to achieve.
- 02
Study Existing Workplace
Review the existing space, its services, its condition and the constraints that will shape what is practical.
- 03
Define Scope
Agree what is retained, modified and replaced, so the project has a clear boundary before design work deepens.
- 04
Plan Changes
Work out the revised layout, zoning and circulation against the agreed scope.
- 05
Finalise Materials + Furniture
Settle finishes, material direction and furniture so retained and new elements read as one scheme.
- 06
Execute + Coordinate
Carry out the work and coordinate the parties involved, with site conditions reviewed as work progresses.
- 07
Review + Handover
Review the completed work with the client and address the points raised during that review.
The sequence and the depth of each stage vary by project. No fixed duration, revision count or completion date is implied here.

MANUFACTURING
Preparing for Greater Furniture Customisation
ASTRAA’s new furniture manufacturing facility is currently under commissioning. Production is not running today, and nothing on this page represents current manufacturing output.
- Its developing capability is intended to support customised and project-based furniture requirements once operations commence
- Renovation often throws up positions where a standard item does not fit, which is part of the reason for building the capability
- Until the facility is operational, furniture requirements continue to be met through ASTRAA’s existing sourcing and supply arrangements
- Capacity, output, lead times and certifications are not published, because the facility is not yet in operation
Any capability or timing position will be stated only once it can be verified.
WHY ASTRAA
Office Renovation Backed by Workplace Understanding
20 Years of Interior-Industry Experience
Two decades of experience within the interior industry, carried into how existing workplaces are read and reworked.
Corporate Workplace Background
Experience centred strongly on corporate environments and how offices are planned, furnished and fitted out.
Space Planning Perspective
Layouts revisited against how the organisation works now rather than how the space was originally drawn.
Furniture + Interior Coordination
Furniture and interiors planned together, so retained and new elements stay consistent.
Practical Renovation Approach
Scope defined around what actually needs changing, with existing conditions checked before commitments are made.
The twenty years refers to interior-industry experience. It does not describe the age of the current company structure or any manufacturing operation.
FAQ
Office Renovation FAQs
What can be included in an office renovation?
Scope can cover layout changes, workstations and furniture, meeting and collaboration spaces, reception, storage, finishes and coordination with the building services. What is included is agreed against the requirement and what the existing space allows.
Can we renovate only selected areas?
Yes. Renovation often covers specific areas such as reception, meeting rooms, a workstation zone or a single floor. Whether work can be phased around an occupied office depends on the site, building rules and the scope involved.
Can existing furniture be retained?
Often, yes. Part of defining scope is deciding what is worth keeping, what can be reused in a different position and what should be replaced. Retained items are assessed against condition and how they suit the revised layout.
Can workstations and storage be replaced?
Yes. Workstations, storage, seating and meeting furniture can be replaced or added as part of the renovation, coordinated with the revised layout rather than fitted into the old one.
Can meeting rooms and reception areas be redesigned?
Yes. Meeting rooms can be added, resized or reconfigured, and reception and arrival areas are among the most common parts of an office to renovate.
Does ASTRAA handle electrical, data and HVAC changes?
These are coordinated with the interior work, but the specialist-service scope is assessed and confirmed project by project and is designed and executed by the relevant licensed contractors and consultants. Not every trade is carried out directly by ASTRAA.
Is a site visit required before renovation?
Usually, yes. Site verification may be necessary before final scope and pricing are confirmed, since existing partitions, flooring, ceilings, services and access all affect what is practical. ASTRAA does not assess structural conditions remotely.
How long does an office renovation take?
There is no standard duration, and we would rather not quote one. It depends on scope, site conditions, approvals, material availability, access to the space and execution requirements, and is estimated once those are understood.
