Customised Office Furniture
Customised Office Furniture in Bangalore for Workplace Projects
Workplace furniture does not always fit a standard catalogue. ASTRAA is developing manufacturing capability intended to support furniture configured around layouts, dimensions, storage needs, finishes and project requirements.

Project-Specific Furniture
Adapt Furniture to the Workplace
Customisation is not automatically the better route. A standard product that genuinely fits is usually quicker, cheaper and easier to replace later. Where it earns its place is when the space, the configuration or the storage requirement simply does not match anything available — and on most floors that is true of some areas and not others.
Space Fit
Where the room, a column or an awkward run leaves no standard size that works.
Configuration
Where the way a team works does not match how catalogue furniture is arranged.
Storage
Where what has to be stored does not fit the divisions a standard unit offers.
Finish Coordination
Where furniture has to match a palette already fixed for the interior.
What Can Be Customised
Define Furniture Around the Requirement
These are the areas normally open to adaptation. Not everything that can be drawn can be built, and the honest answer to a particular request comes after review rather than before it.
- Dimensions
- Configuration
- Storage
- Finish
- Colour direction
- Cable and service coordination
- Room-specific requirements
Final customisation depends on technical feasibility, confirmed manufacturing capability and project scope. ASTRAA does not offer unlimited customisation.

Custom Workstations
Configure Workstations Around the Layout
Workstations are the most common reason a project needs something non-standard — a cluster that has to fit between two columns, a depth the floor plate cannot spare, a screen height the client has views about. The configuration is worked out against the layout rather than chosen from a size chart.
- Workstation size and configuration
- Team layouts
- Storage
- Partitions and screens where relevant
- Power and data coordination
- Finish direction
Dimensions are established against your layout. ASTRAA does not publish fixed workstation sizes.
Executive Furniture
Furniture for Leadership Spaces
Cabin furniture is low in quantity and high in visibility, which usually makes it the part of a project most worth adapting. The desk, its return and the storage behind it are planned as one arrangement for the room they sit in.
- Desks
- Return units
- Credenzas and storage
- Meeting support
- Finish coordination
Conference + Meeting Furniture
Configure Furniture for Meeting Spaces
Meeting rooms rarely come in convenient proportions, and the table has to suit both the room and the way it is used. Where power, data and cabling need to reach the table, that is decided at the same time rather than added afterwards.
- Table shape
- Seating coordination
- Power and data access
- Cable routing
- Storage and support furniture
Reception Furniture
Develop Reception Furniture Around the Space
Reception counters are almost always bespoke, because the entrance they sit in is unique and the counter has to work from both sides — presenting the organisation to visitors while functioning as a workstation for the people behind it.
- Reception desk
- Visitor interaction
- Storage
- Equipment access
- Finish coordination
Storage
Custom Storage Around Workplace Needs
Storage is the category where standard divisions least often match what an organisation actually keeps. Adapting the internal arrangement, rather than the outside, is usually what makes the difference.
- Cabinets
- Filing
- Shared storage
- Room-specific storage
- Integrated storage
- Support units
Cafeteria + Breakout
Furniture for Shared and Informal Spaces
Shared areas take the heaviest daily use and often the most awkward leftover spaces. Furniture here is adapted for how the area is actually used across a day rather than for one setting.
- Tables
- Counters where relevant
- Breakout furniture
- Storage and support furniture
- Finish coordination
Materials + Finishes
Coordinate Materials with the Workplace Interior
Custom furniture is usually being made precisely because it has to sit against something already decided. Its finish is selected from the interior palette rather than chosen independently. The wider approach is set out on its own page.
- Panel materials
- Laminates
- Hardware
- Metal
- Glass
- Upholstery where relevant
Brands, board grades, thicknesses and certifications are not published here. They are established within the specification agreed for a particular project.
Before Manufacturing
Turn the Requirement into a Clear Furniture Specification
Custom work depends entirely on the requirement being written down properly. The more precisely it arrives, the fewer assumptions have to be made later — and the fewer surprises appear at installation.
- Layout
- Dimensions
- Drawings
- Furniture schedule
- Storage needs
- Materials
- Finish references
- Service requirements
Inputs require technical review before final manufacturing scope is confirmed. Third-party drawings are not assumed to be production-ready, and design intent may need adjustment to be buildable.
Intended Workflow
A Structured Path from Requirement to Installation
This is intended operating direction as ASTRAA’s manufacturing capability comes online. It is not a currently proven production workflow.
- 01
Understand Requirement
What the furniture has to do, where it sits and why a standard product does not suit.
- 02
Review Layout / Drawings
Reading what has been supplied and identifying what is missing or unclear.
- 03
Define Configuration
Sizes, construction and storage agreed before materials are fixed.
- 04
Finalise Materials + Finishes
Surfaces, edges and hardware specified and recorded in writing.
- 05
Technical Review
Checking the agreed configuration is buildable as drawn before commitment.
- 06
Production Planning
Sequencing the work against the project programme and delivery dates.
- 07
Installation Coordination
Delivery and installation coordinated on site against the approved drawings.
Steps involving production apply once manufacturing operations commence.
Corporate Interiors
Design Furniture Alongside the Workplace
Custom furniture is defined by what surrounds it — the partition line it stops against, the socket position it has to reach, the route people take past it. Those are interior decisions, which is why the furniture is best developed alongside the interior rather than after it is finished.
- Layouts
- Partitions
- Circulation
- Power and data
- Storage
- Meeting areas
- Visual language
Project Scale
Combine Repeated Furniture with Selected Customisation
Most workplace projects are not entirely one or the other. The open floor usually runs on a repeated configuration, while reception, the boardroom and one or two cabins justify something developed for the room. Planning both together keeps the finish language common across the lot.
No bulk-production capacity is represented. What can be supported, in either form, is confirmed against the specific requirement.

Manufacturing Status
Custom Manufacturing Capability Is Under Development
The facility is under commissioning. Customised manufacturing is not represented as fully operational today, and final capability depends on commissioning progress.
- Machinery is not published until verified
- Capacity is not published until established
- Certifications are not claimed until obtained
- Project acceptance depends on actual capability at enquiry stage

Questions
Customised Office Furniture FAQs
Does ASTRAA currently manufacture customised office furniture?
The facility is under commissioning. Customised manufacturing is developing capability and is not represented as fully operational production today. A specific requirement can be discussed and we will be clear about what can be supported now.
What office furniture can be customised?
Workstations, executive furniture, conference and meeting furniture, reception furniture, storage, and cafeteria and breakout furniture. This is intended scope rather than a list of what is currently produced.
Can furniture dimensions be adapted to a project?
Dimensions, configuration and storage are normally open to adaptation. This is subject to technical feasibility and confirmed manufacturing capability, and a specific request is answered after review.
Can storage and finishes be customised?
Internal storage arrangements, finish and colour direction can generally be adapted to suit the requirement and the interior palette. Brands, grades and thicknesses are confirmed within the project specification.
Can ASTRAA work from project drawings?
Yes, that is the usual starting point — layouts, dimensions, schedules and finish references. Supplied drawings are not assumed production-ready, and technical review is carried out before manufacturing scope is confirmed.
Can customised furniture be combined with bulk requirements?
Yes, and most projects work that way: a repeated configuration across the open floor, with selected areas developed for the room. The finish language is kept common across both.
Does ASTRAA publish current manufacturing capacity?
No. No capacity figure is published until operational capability is established and verified — we would rather say nothing than publish a number that has not been confirmed.
Can I discuss a customised requirement now?
Yes. Share the layout, furniture requirement, drawings and finish direction, and we will review the scope and be straightforward about what depends on commissioning progress.
